McDonald’s Turns to Interway to Equip Restaurants with SD-WAN Technology
McDonald's has chosen Interway, a Sogetrel Group brand specialized in supporting the digital transformation of companies, to deploy SD-WAN technology in its 1,500 restaurants.
McDonald’s has extensively digitized its services and businesses to offer an ever more fluid, user-friendly and fast customer experience in its restaurants. The smooth operation of the numerous digital solutions used required the implementation of an optimized WAN network. The challenge? Increase reliability and safety, while guaranteeing the best performance on each restaurant according to the technical constraints on each site. The SD-Wan solution was therefore a natural choice.
McDonald’s was looking for a managed services provider to help them transition their network to SD-Wan and selected Interway after a competitive bidding process.
Interway’s proposal, based on Cisco’s Meraki solution, met McDonald’s desire for a unified technical solution on a global scale. His technological mastery combined with his understanding of the company’s business challenges makes him a strategic partner capable of supporting them over the long term.
Interway’s experts succeeded in deploying the solution to each restaurant in a single night and in managing the national rollout of all 1,500 sites in 24 months. The impact of the project on the restaurants’ business was minimal. All this while guaranteeing better connectivity at each of the restaurants and offering multi-operator and multi-technology links.
