Discover the Sogetrel’s Lab’ for connected and sustainable territories
How and with which digital solutions to concretely support the sustainable transformation of connected territories? As a partner of local authorities, the Sogetrel Group presents the "Lab' des territoires connectés et durables", a privileged space of discovery and exchange, to help local authorities project themselves towards the city of tomorrow. The Lab' also houses our network operations center, the nerve center for supervision and operation of solutions deployed in the field.
Supporting the reflection of local authorities
Based on our 35 years of experience and our precise knowledge of the local issues and problems of communities, we have designed the Lab’. Structured as a real space for sharing experiences and exchanges, the Lab’ presents a wide range of digital solutions that combine connected objects and software platforms to analyze, visualize and exploit field data. These digital solutions, once deployed on the territory, contribute to the well-being of the public space and enhance theattractiveness of cities by accelerating their digital, energetic, ecological or societal transformation.
Six major themes are presented in the Lab: connected urban lighting, sustainable mobility, energy efficiency, intelligent buildings, the environment and citizen participation, and safety in urban spaces. Personalized visits, organized in the company of the Group’s experts, offer local stakeholders the opportunity to discover the digital solutions adopted by local authorities. It is also an opportunity for them to discover how these intelligent solutions work and to appreciate how the field of the Internet of Things (IoT) contributes to the transformation of territories.
Discover digital solutions to improve the efficiency of local public services and the well-being of all within connected territories
Energy savings, changes in usage, better building management, soft mobility, improved cleanliness in the city, etc. All these benefits are made possible by digital solutions. Data can be analyzed and used to inform the decision-making of local stakeholders to facilitate targeted interventions and optimize investment and operating expenses for local authorities.
These digital solutions now represent an essential transformation lever for cities:
Connected street lighting and cost reduction
Urban lighting accounts for 41% of the electricity bill in cities. By finely tuning the lighting on and off times (or by deploying lighting solutions that detect the need for lighting), cities can reduce their bills, without compromising safety or comfort.
Sustainable mobility and new uses
The deployment of soft and sustainable mobility solutions is facilitated by theinstallation of recharging infrastructures for electric vehicles or the optimization of travel plans through an audit of roads and bike paths.
Energy efficiency and waste reduction
Poorly closed tap, guaranteed waste! A better management of water, gas and electricity consumption in buildings (for example through the implementation of an alert system when defined thresholds are exceeded) allows to effectively limit waste, to detect leaks, to reduce the bill…
Intelligent building and occupant well-being
Improving the comfort, well-being and occupancy of public buildings requires better data monitoring. For example, monitoring indoor air quality in elementary schools allows teachers to apply good ventilation practices.
Environment and citizen participation
Better management of cleanliness in urban spaces is simplified thanks to connected objects that allow toanticipate needs access in real time to the level of filling of a dumpster to launch the collection at the right time, sharing of information to citizens to develop their citizen involvement in the city are excellent examples.
Safety in urban areas and public buildings
Ensuring the safety of public spaces and the well-being of their users through intelligent solutions for the protection of urban spaces such as, for example, the reporting of alerts via video surveillance cameras, which allow for a more rapid and targeted intervention by law enforcement agencies.
